Stonebwoy Announces Davido As Special Guest For Bhimfest 2024, Fans React

Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has confirmed that his Nigerian colleague Davido will perform at this year's Bhim Festival.

Last year, the annual music experience drew about 40,000 fans to the Accra Sports Stadium for an incredible Ghanaian-Jamaican edition, marking the success of Stonebwoy's 5th Dimension album.
This year, the showrunners switched from their venue to the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel due to the stadium's maintenance requirements.
"Stonebwoy announcing Davido is a chess play move to stay afloat in the highly saturated Detty December market," entertainment analyst Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh told YEN.com.gh.
Boadu-Ayeboafoh said Stonebwoy's fortunes with Bhim Festival have been underwhelming due to the venue issues and increased competition from other showrunners.
He noted that the announcement had heightened the interest and excitement of fans ahead of the showdown.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported about Davido's previous visit to Ghana, when he met up with his long-time friend Showboy.
The relationship between the Nigerian and Ghanaian online star dates back many years before Showboy's prison woes.
Davido and Showboy were spotted at a restaurant enjoying fufu and light soup as their friendship continued to build.
