Late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

He fell ill at his residence in East Legon and was rushed to the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, where he died.

Following his death, Daddy Lumba’s family, led by his wife, Priscilla Ofori-Atta, popularly known as Odo Broni, hosted numerous prominent personalities at her home.

The musician's first wife, Akosua Serwaa, who is based in Germany, arrived in Ghana on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

She was seen at the Kotoka International Airport after getting off a flight and was welcomed by her eldest son, Calvin Kwadwo Fosu, and long-time Daddy Lumba associate, Papa Shee.

Daddy Lumba's wife flies back to Germany

After her arrival in Ghana, Daddy Lumba’s first wife visited his home in East Legon, where they joined other family members to mourn the late legend.

Akosua Serwaa was inconsolable upon her arrival at his home on Friday, August 1, 2025. She was seen stepping out of her car, looking weak and showing visible signs of emotion.

She entered the home, where she met Daddy Lumba’s second wife, Odo Broni, as both took their place as widows of the late singer.

After days of mourning with the family, Akosua Serwaa reportedly left Ghana to return to Germany on Monday, August 4.

Instagram gossip blogger, Aba the Great, initially shared the news of her return.

“Akosua Serwaa and the kids left yesterday on KLM for Germany.” the blogger wrote.

The Instagram post is below.

A close associate of Lumba’s first wife, Ghanaian media personality Big Scout, also confirmed the news in a post shared on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

“Akosua Serwaa has safely arrived in Germany to prepare for the one week of her late husband, Daddy Lumba, on 30th August,” he wrote.
