Angel Asiamah Promises To Remain Chaste Till Agradaa Serves Her 15-Year Jail Term: “I Will Stand”

Angel Asiamah, the husband of convicted Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, said he will remain faithful to his wife even though she has been imprisoned.
Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, popularly called Agradaa, is the founder of Heavenway Champion International Ministry. She was sentenced on Thursday, July 3, 2025, by an Accra Circuit court. She was handed a 15-year sentence with hard labour.

Since her sentencing, Angel Asiamah has taken over the running of the church, including the preaching slots on Sundays.
In a video on X, Angel Asiamah said many have asked him if he would become celibate because of his wife. Agradaa’s husband said he would not engage in sexual relations with other women while waiting for his wife to complete her jail term.
He added that he lived without sex until the age of 25, and therefore, another 15 years is not beyond his capacity to endure.
“People keep asking me if I can stay chaste due to what has happened to my wife. But I ask them, ‘Why can’t I remain faithful?’ People have forgotten that I lived without sex until I was about 25 years old.”
“So if I could abstain from sex during that time, then I can remain chaste now. Even if it will take 15 years, I can still stand,” he added.

In a comment to YEN.com.gh on the issue, relationship counsellor Rose Aboagyewaa Adjei disagreed with those who believe Angel Asiamah should call time on his two-year marriage.
She buttressed her point by saying that marriage has its highs and lows, and the onus lies on Angel Asiamah to remain resolute as a husband in this moment.
“In marriage, we don’t expect everything to go the way we want it. Asiamah should use his love for Agradaa as his reason and motivation to stay in the marriage.”

Agradaa urged to hire new lawyers
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the Founder of Citizen Eye Ghana (CITEG) has admonished Angel Asiamah to hire a new legal team for his wife.
In a video, Alex Tetteh raised doubts about the competence of the lawyers currently representing Agradaa, questioning their level of experience.
Alex Tetteh then urged Angel Asiamah to heed his warning, or else Agradaa might not be released.
