Daddy Lumba’s family members have stirred controversy on social media by complaining about his wife’s behaviour after his death.

The legendary Ghanaian musician recently passed away, sparking nationwide mourning.
Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, reportedly fell ill in the early hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025.
His wife rushed him to the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, where he sadly died.

Daddy Lumba’s death was confirmed via a statement from his family.
"With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana's beloved musical icon, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away earlier today, Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a short illness," the statement read.

Daddy Lumba’s family blasts wife
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, Daddy Lumba’s family members complained about his wife’s behaviour after his death.
According to one of the late singer’s uncles, a family delegation that was sent to meet his wife was not treated properly.

He said the singer's wife, Priscilla Ofori Atta, said she did not know any of his family members.
He alleged that she had claimed that while he was alive, Daddy Lumba did not introduce anyone to her as members of his family

Lumba’s uncle said the late singer’s sister and other family members are headed to Accra to sit down with the widow to properly iron out the issues and decide on the way forward with his final arrangements.

Speaking with YEN.com.gh, gender advocate Fusena Aziz, the Founder and Executive Director of Fusaid Global, slammed the attacks against a vulnerable widow in the aftermath of their husband's death.
"Behaviour such as this is often out of greed or outdated customs, and it's unfair and harmful. Widows deserve respect, support, and protection, and not added pain during a time of loss. We need to sit up as a country and relook at these issues," she said.

Daddy Lumba’s mansions surface
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba’s mansions surfaced on social media after his death.
The videos showed both the exterior and interior of his homes in London, UK, and East Legon, Accra.
According to reports, Lumba owned homes in Ghana, the UK, and Germany.
