Popular Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lil Win, finally premiered his much-anticipated blockbuster film titled: Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero on August 2, 2025, at the SG Mall in Kumasi.

The film is expected to premiere in other regions soon, with Sunyani being the next destination.

The people of Burkina Faso have warmly embraced Lil Win’s film, which was made as a tribute to Captain Ibrahim Traoré for his bravery, resilience, and efforts toward making Burkina Faso a progressive, productive, and industrious nation.

A viral video captured the moment a group of persons appearing to be soldiers in military camouflage attended the premiere. YEN.com.gh could not immediately confirm whether they were authentic servicemen.

This group was allegedly sent by Captain Ibrahim Traoré to represent him at the event.

They could be heard speaking the Mossi language as they claimed to represent Burkina Faso.

Meanwhile, Lil Win has expressed his commitment to pushing the film to international heights, noting that the project cost him millions of dollars to get it to where it is today.

The Burkinabé Ambassador to Ghana was also present at the film premiere.

The Kumasi premiere drew many prominent faces. Notable attendees included comedian and actor Dr Likee, the Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene, and celebrated actress Vivian Jill.

Lil Win premieres Ibrahim Traoré film

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Kumawood actor Lil Win premiered his much-anticipated film, Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero at SG Mall in Kumasi on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

The cinema sold out, and due to the massive crowd, Lil Win converted the car park into an outdoor cinema so fans who could not enter could still enjoy the movie.

The film, which honours Burkinabè leader Ibrahim Traoré, received praise for its emotional message and Lil Win’s powerful performance.
