In a press release issued by the EOCO on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, and sighted by YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale was said to have in his possession a Lamborghini Urus, which the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) had tied to one Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving an 86-month prison term in the United States.
According to the statement, the search at the musician's home in Trassaco Valley Phase 1, Accra, in which the luxurious Lamborghini was seized, was conducted in June 2025, even though the request from the FBI came in 2023.
The statement continued that Shatta Wale begged the EOCO officers carrying out the lawful search not to take the car away from him, as it was tied to his brand as a rich musician.
It said that he also begged further that if his supporters and fans saw the car being taken away from him, they would no longer hold him in high esteem and that would destroy his brand.
Therefore, he was allowed to surrender the car into EOCO custody, where it currently remains.
Following this, Shatta Wale, together with a former senior officer of the National Signal Bureau (NSB), was assessed as a person of interest in the case and would be invited by the EOCO for further questioning and investigations in the coming days.

Shatta Wale accuses EOCO of harassment
The statement from EOCO follows Shatta Wale's accusation that the office sent armed personnel to his premises.
In a series of Facebook posts, the One God hit-maker warned Raymond Archer, the acting Executive Director of EOCO, that the move would be the downfall of the NDC.
"Raymond Archer EOCO BOSS, ibi you go make NDC go out of power next 4 years. Bringing guns to my house was uncalled for," he said.
