Rumours recently emerged on Saturday, August 9, 2025, that the social media personality was battling an illness and had been left bedridden.
In a TikTok live session with her colleagues on Sunday, August 10, 2025, Ama Official confirmed the rumours as she received treatment at the hospital.
During the session, fellow TikToker Madea shared that their colleague had been diagnosed with diabetes, which had gradually affected her kidneys and left her needing dialysis for survival.
Ama Official's colleagues also solicited several donations to support the social media personality as she underwent treatment for her severe illness.
Amid her ailment, several speculations about her health issues have been rife among the Ghanaian TikTok community, with many linking her problems to her past feuds with other well-known content creators.
The footage of Ama Official, who once courted controversy over her publicised feud with popular influencer Asantewaa over an alleged affair with her brother, Kay Verli, receiving treatment at the hospital has evoked sadness among Ghanaians on social media.

News of Ama Official's health issues comes several months after she mourned the demise of her male guardian, whom she regularly acknowledged as her father on social media.
In April 2025, the viral social media star announced the news of the man's passing on her official TikTok page, garnering sympathy from her colleagues and fans on social media.
In a video, the controversial Ama Official was seen in a vehicle with the frail old man, whom many thought was her grandfather.
According to the content creator, she has known the deceased man to be her father all her life. She also claimed that her biological father abandoned her at an early age.
