Michael, popularly known as The General, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, according to Caleb Nii Boye.
The Ghanaian media personality shared a post on Instagram to announce the tragic news and mourn Ofori’s passing.

Who was late Michael Kwesi Ofori?
Michael Ofori was a Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist, widely known as the ‘son’ of billionaire businessman Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong.

He was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Investor Hub, a company he founded in 2018 to connect African businesses with foreign investors and vice versa.
He also founded HR Services in March 2024 to provide innovative Human Resource solutions.
Ofori was a serial award winner who was named one of the Top 50 Young CEOs in Ghana in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. He was also a recipient of Ghana’s 40 Under 40 award in 2022 and the Head of State award in 2023.
He attended the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon, for his High School education and graduated in 2007, before completing his undergraduate degree at the Central University College, Ghana.

The post, shared in July, concerned a Canada Day event involving his HR company, Ultimate HR Services, hosted by the Canadian High Commission and held at the Residence of the High Commissioner, Myriam Montrat.

Ofori attended the event in the company of his godfather, whose Special Ice company co-sponsored the programme.
