The dancehall superstar made his first public appearance on Friday, August 22, 2025, a day after being released by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

The EOCO detained the On God hitmaker on Wednesday, August 20, following an investigation into his ownership of a 2019 Lamborghini Urus.

Wale's yellow luxury vehicle was seized in May after American authorities linked it to a Ghanaian individual, Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving an 86-month jail term in the United States for fraud.

Shatta Wale hinted at his ongoing legal woes on August 5 when he took to social media to slam the Executive Director of the EOCO, Raymond Archer.

The agency invited him to assist in interrogations in the wake of his outburst, and he was detained and held on a GH₵ 10 million bond with two sureties.

Wale remained in EOCO custody until he met his bail conditions on Thursday, August 21, with his fans mobbing outside the agency's Accra offices demanding his release.

He went out driving his purple Lamborghini through the streets of East Legon and was mobbed by fans upon his arrival.

The musician got out of his car to converse with his relieved fans, many of whom hugged him while others celebrated his hard-fought freedom.

He was seen speeding away after his meet and greet with fans and sprayed cash from his car onto the streets.

Eager Shatta Movement fans quickly rushed into the streets to pick up the notes despite speeding cars passing by.

Shatta Wale's decision to spray cash onto the streets of East Legon while driving his Lamborghini caused havoc and nearly led to numerous fans being hit.
