Medikal Warns TV3 To Stop Playing His Music After a Guest Claimed Sarkodie’s Career Has Ended

Ghanaian musician Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly called Medikal, has issued a stern warning to Ghanaian media house TV3 to stop playing his music.

The warning comes after TV3 posted a video from one of their entertainment shows where a fan expressed his opinion claiming that "Sarkodie's career is over". The fan in question was responding to a question from the hosts on which Ghanaian artists are close to winning a Grammy.

Basking under the platform given to him by TV3, the fan emphatically said no Ghanaian artiste is close to this milestone. That was when he made the Sarkodie jibe.

"Maybe in the future, God might help us. God might be on our side, and somehow, someway, an artiste from Ghana will level up to the Grammy. For now, there is no artiste. I think King Sarkodie’s career has ended."

In response to TV3's post, award-winning Ghanaian rapper Medikal blasted the staff and management of TV3 for allowing a guest on their show to say demeaning things about BET winner Michael Owusu Addo, popularly called Sarkodie, on the new show Choices.

In an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh, Prince Fiifi Cudjoe, affectionately known in Ghana's showbiz circles as Fiifi Adinkra, who is the Founder of Ghana's music hub, GhanaNdwom and the CEO of Adinkra Metrix Multimedia, commented on Medikal's actions.

"I think TV3, as a media corporation, was very irresponsible for that occurrence. They could have done better, as it was a post-production, and someone reviewed the content before it came out."
"The worst part is that they still left the post unattended after the public outcry. I see nothing wrong with MDK expressing his displeasure the way he deemed fit, since TV3 chose not the respect Sarkodie. The disrespect from the media to creatives is getting too much."
