Amaarae dazzled fans on the iconic Gobi stage, delivering an electrifying performance that celebrated her Ghanaian roots and spotlighted Ghanaian music on a global platform.
Her setlist was not about her signature sound as she paid homage to fellow Ghanaian artists by blending their hits into her show.
Fans cheered while others sang along at the top of their voices as Amaarae performed tracks like La Meme Gang’s Godzilla, Eazzy’s classic Wengeze, Joey B’s Stables, and Yaw Tog and Asakaa Boys’ breakout anthem Sore.
Amaarae’s groundbreaking appearance at Coachella symbolised a new era for African artists on global stages. She took to the Gobi stage at 5:00 PM PT, marking her name in the festival’s history books while making her home country proud.

"Amaarae is pushing the Ghanaian narrative" - Entertainment pundit
Entertainment Pundit Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh spoke to YEN.com.gh in an exclusive interview about Amaarae making history at the 2025 Coachella.
He noted that it was great for Ghana and he applauded Amaarae for making sure the crowd knew where she was from as she introduced them to top-charting Ghanaian songs from various Ghanaian musicians.
"It is great for Ghana and Amaarae made sure the crowd knew where she is from," he said.
Sharing his opinions on her solo set, Mr Boadu-Ayeboafoh noted that Amaarae pushed the Ghanaian narrative to an international audience.
He further stated that Amaarae was a musician from the country the industry had been looking forward to. Adidng that she was someone who always preached about where she came from.
"From her showcase on the stage, she is pushing the Ghanaian narrative and as an industry, she is someone we have been looking for. An artist who enters through a door and take her people along."
He concluded saying that her songs might not be charting but she has a lot of Ghanaian fans who are rooting for her.
