Popular Ghanaian media personality and natural health campaigner Oheneba Ntim-Barimah has opened up about highlife musician Daddy Lumba following his demise.

In a recent interview, the prominent personality explained why the late musician always reserved his signature braided hairstyle for most of his illustrious music career.

Oheneba Ntim-Barimah noted that Daddy Lumba always braided his hair out of respect for women and not for entertainment reasons.

He said:

"Daddy Lumba braided his hair because of the respect he had for women. If you didn't know, you would think he did it for show business."

The Soul Health and Wellness Centre owner noted the Aben Wo Ha hitmaker took a bold decision to maintain the hairstyle until his demise.

He said Daddy Lumba always wanted to show his appreciation for women with the hairstyle he kept throughout his old age.

Daddy Lumba, considered by many as the greatest musician in the Ghanaian music industry's illustrious history, sadly passed away at 60 on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

The highlife music icon died from a short illness while he was on admission at the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, Accra, for treatment.

Since his untimely passing, many prominent personalities, including politicians and musicians, have visited the late Aben Ho Ha hitmaker's residence in East Legon to mourn with his family and sign the book of condolences.

Former President Nana Akufo-Addo, Kennedy Agyapong, Pat Thomas, Kojo Antwi, Serwaa Amihere, Malik Basintale, Ofori Amponsah, Chairman Wontumi, Becca, Kwabena Kwabena, and many others have all visited the late musician's residence to pay their respects to his family.
