The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has offered a partnership deal to Malfred Kwame Kudu, popularly known as Kwame Lighter, the viral Kumasi-based iPhone specialist, following their meeting on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

In a lengthy statement on his official Instagram page, the Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency shared that he had made an offer on behalf of the President John Mahama-led government to partner and offer training to many more young Ghanaians in the IT field.
Honourable Sam George also announced that he had opened up the possibility of running a specialised programme through the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT in partnership with Malfred Kwame Kudu.
The Minister noted that the partnership with Malfred would present the opportunity for him to transfer knowledge at scale and help position Ghana as a truly technology-diverse country.

Sam George's partnership offer presents a big opportunity for the 27-year-old Malfred Kwame Kudu, who has gotten massive attention in recent days.
Kwame Lighter went viral on social media after a video of him attempting to fix a customer's iPhone at his shop in Adum, Kumasi, surfaced.
In the video, the customer decided to take the iPhone to the young man for repairs after it developed a charging fault. The customer had previously sought help from other repairers but none of them could successfully fix the phone.
Malfred Kwame Kudu demonstrated in his video that the iPhone was not charging and further tore the phone up and fixed it after diagnosing the fault.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Kwame Lighter cruised in a V8 after he met the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George.
The viral Adum iPhone repair technician was escorted with an umbrella to the luxurious car as it rained during his departure from Sam George's office.
Many Ghanaians thronged to social media to express excitement for Kwame Lighter getting the chance to meet distinguished individuals after going viral.
