A dramatic confrontation unfolded at the SaveTheJudiciary protest in Accra on Monday when entertainment pundit Koka openly challenged police officers attempting to disperse demonstrators.
Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu was among dozens of protesters who gathered before the Supreme Court on May 5, 2025, to demand judicial reforms and greater accountability within Ghana’s justice system.

The protest, organised by a coalition of civil society groups, had been largely peaceful until tensions flared between demonstrators and police personnel deployed to maintain order.
Eyewitnesses said Koka confronted a group of officers who warned protesters about breaching public order regulations.
In a moment captured on video and widely shared online, he could be heard shouting, 'What can you do to me?' as officers moved closer.
Despite the verbal clash, no arrests were made, and the protest continued with chants, placards, and speeches from various rights advocates.
Organisers maintained that the demonstration was within the bounds of the law and accused the police of attempting to intimidate citizens exercising their constitutional rights.

Demonstrations are supposed to be peaceful
Speaking exclusively to YEN.com.gh, a security analyst addressed Koka's move at the SaveTheJudiciary demonstration.
"Demonstrations are supposed to be peaceful. You don't provoke police officers just because you're angry over issues. As much as possible, comply with their directives. They are there to ensure your safety and the smooth running of the protest. No need to fret, just comply and don't attack," he said.
Netizens react after Koka confronts police officer
Netizens who saw Koka's video expressed mixed reactions in the comment section of the now-viral post.
While some criticised him, others accused the police officer of unprofessional conduct during the event.
