Speaking during his appearance on Paul Adom Otchere's Good Evening Ghana Show on Metro TV, Mr Ayariga stated that Eze Chukwudi was in the company of the Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana and his lawyers.
"He was invited because, first of all, he's calling himself a King in Ghana, when he is not a citizen in Ghana. Igbos don't have a king in Ghana," Mr Ayariga said.

"Nobody who is not a citizen of Ghana can make himself a King in our land. So you (Igbo King) coming to tell us that you are acquiring 50 acres of land to build an Igbo Kingdom so that it becomes one of a kind that has never been built before, shows that we (Ghanaians) are going to have a problem," he added.
According to Mr Ayariga, the Igbo King of Ghana was investigated and released on bail after he complained of High Blood Pressure.
"He was painting and sweating and pleading that he was not a King. He came there with his lawyers and the Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana. He thought it was going to be just an ordinary investigation where he would respond to questions and be set free, but it was not," Mr Ayaraiga stated in the interview.
Okudzeto Ablakwa cautions Igbo King in Ghana
Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has admonished Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, a self-acclaimed Igbo King in Ghana, to respect Ghana's laws and traditions.
This occurred after the minister held a meeting with Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, over his claim that he had purchased 50 acres of land to establish an Igbo Kingdom in Ghana.
During the meeting, it became clear that Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu had abandoned that idea long ago.
The minister then admonished him to refrain from making claims that could lead to division and disunity.

Government urges calm and restraint and recalls the inseparable bond of friendship and brotherhood between Ghana and Nigeria."
Igbo King in Ghana apologises
Eze Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, on his part, expressed remorse over his intended plan to build an Igbo Village in Ghana.
This new development was made known by Okudzeto Ablakwa after he held a meeting with Eze Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu on July 16, 2025.
The minister said Eze Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu apologised profusely for any inconvenience his plan may have caused.
"Eze clarified that it was an old 2013 interview which he deeply regrets. He assured that he has long abandoned that idea and has not purchased any piece of land for that purpose. Chukwudi conveyed profuse apologies to the President, Government, Chiefs, and People of Ghana for the unfortunate agitations his rather ill-advised interview has created."
