The family of the late Theresa Abebrese, Daddy Lumba's ex-girlfriend, is allegedly planning to take legal action against the musician's godmother, Mama Acheampong, following her account of what ended the lovers' relationship.
In a video, Theresa's purported relative indicated that Mama Acheampong's account was false and should be disregarded.

Her remarks come after Mama Acheampong said on the radio that Theresa Abebrese's family married her off to a wealthy man when Daddy Lumba travelled to Germany.
Daddy Lumba expressed his love for Theresa Abebrese throughout his life, once saying in an interview that she was one of the people who helped him most in life.
In an interview with Angel FM, Mama Acheampong said Daddy Lumba and Theresa remained in love even after he travelled to Germany, but circumstances beyond their control broke them up.
According to her, her father married her off to a wealthy man while Lumba was still in Germany, leading to the end of the relationship.
However, Theresa's relative, who spoke in a video, claimed Mama Acheampong's account was false.
She explained that Daddy Lumba betrayed Theresa when he travelled abroad by marrying someone else, and this was why their love story ended.
The relative also stated that Theresa Abebrese's aunties are considering a lawsuit against Mama Acheampong over her remarks.

The late highlife singer and Theresa Abebrese started dating as teenagers while attending the New Juaben Senior High School.
According to reports, Theresa Abebrese helped Lumba, who came from a poor home, with money, food, and other things that he lacked.
She was also responsible for connecting him with a way to travel abroad, which was a major dream of his.
After Daddy Lumba left for Germany upon completion of high school, the former lovers were separated forever, and both went on to marry and establish families.
Later in life, Lumba spoke about the impact Theresa Abebrese had on his life and said he would never forget her.

Daddy Lumba's sister weeps at his home
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba's sister broke down in tears after she arrived at his home to mourn with her family.
Ernestina Fosu, also known as Akosua Brepongmaa, was seen in a video in an emotional state over the loss of her brother.
She was escorted into his home by former musician turned evangelist, Papa Shee and other relatives who comforted her in her difficult time.
