The personal driver became very emotional after a video of him mourning the demise of his late boss and highlife legend Daddy Lumba went viral.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the TikTok page of @tina_news_gh, the young man, who was standing with two other employees of Daddy Lumba, was overcome with sorrow as he began to praise the late musician for his benevolence.

The young man said, “It got to a point where I did not want to go to the home of the musician because of Daddy Lumba's generosity.”
"I never came to his home and left empty-handed. He called me 'boss,' and anytime I saw him, he urged me to open up to him or his wife, Mama Lumba. Sometimes his wife would give you something; Daddy Lumba would ask that it be given to you. Sometimes it could be a phone, dress, or shoes."
The young man also shared that his wish was for Daddy Lumba to perform at his wedding, and he had discussed this with someone, only for that wish to never materialise.
Demise of Daddy Lumba
Daddy Lumba, known in private life as Charles Kojo Fosu, died on Saturday, June 26, 2025, at the age of 60.
He was sent to the Bank Hospital in Cantonments for treatment, where he passed away.
The demise of the highlife legend was made public by the legal representative of the family in a statement that celebrated the life and legacy of the late musician.

Funeral rites for Daddy Lumba
The Ekouna Family has provided details on the final rites of Daddy Lumba.
The family head, Kofi Owusu, in a video, announced that a one-week observance has been slated for August 30, 2025, with the funeral to be held in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital.
At the time of writing this report, the video had racked in over 4,000 likes and 100 comments.

Reactions to Daddy Lumba's passing
Social media users who took to the comments section of the video have expressed their deepest condolences to the family and anyone who knew him personally.
Rby TV stated:
“Can you imagine, Lumba used to call everyone 'Boss,' but still, people would say he was arrogant. Hmmm, you can never satisfy human beings, ooo.”

Family confirms Daddy Lumba's children
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba’s family had indicated that the late highlife musician had eleven children. This came to light during an interview on Monday, August 4, 2025, with the paternal relatives of Daddy Lumba.
The head of the Lumba family stated that the highlife legend had 11 children with four different women, including his Germany-based wife, Akosua Serwaa, and Priscilla Ofori Atta, aka Odo Broni.
