Alhaji Muniru's Friend of 30 Years Shares His Last Words to Him a Day Before Tragic Helicopter Crash

A self-proclaimed good friend of Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru, a victim of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has shared their last conversation with the public.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the man stated that he had been friends with Alhaji Muniri for 30 years and opened up about how a planned meeting had fallen through.

He noted that on August 5, 2025, he had scheduled a meeting with Alhaji Muniru and was on his way to the office.
However, the meeting could not take place because he arrived late, and the minister told him he had other engagements.

"I had gone to see him in his office while he was settling in. He gave me a time of 8:30 am. I hadn't reached there, I called him and he said 'Imam, if you delay, you might not come and meet me'."
Unfortunately, he did not make it on time, missing his meeting with the late Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator.
He noted that Alhaji Muniru warned that he might not see him again if he missed their meeting.
"Indeed, I delayed, and by the time I called him, he told me, 'Imam, you won't see me again, I have gone into a meeting'. So he asked his PA to give me an envelope containing money. The next day, the heard about his death. Now, upon reflection, I understand what his 'you won't see me again' meant," he said.
