The minister's house had been closed to only family members as of the time Appiah Stadium arrived.
As such, Appiah and his entourage were not let in. The staunch NDC political commentator clad in black didn't seem too pleased, even though he agreed that the bereaved family needed privacy.
Appiah Stadium also expressed his shock that the minister's house had no signs showing that he had died.
He bemoaned the situation as he compared it to how things would have been done in his hometown in the Ashanti region.
He made the remarks during an interview with TV3 recorded as part of a live broadcast. His interview begins at the 3h:28m mark.
Dr Omane Boamah was aboard the Ghana Armed Forces Z‑9 helicopter en route to Obuasi for the launching of the responsible cooperative mining and skills development programme when the tragedy occurred.
