A Ghanaian man could not contain his excitement and gratitude after he reportedly received his new passport in record time.

In a video spotted online, a yet-to-be-identified man narrated how he submitted his application for a new passport and reportedly got it within 6 days, far earlier than the expected timeline.

According to the Ghanaian, he submitted his application on August 13, 2025, and was dumbfounded to receive the passport from a Ghana Post delivery officer on August 19, 2025.

He explained how confused he was when he received the call from the delivery officer, and had initially thought it was a scam.

Man excited after reportedly receiving passport early

The man expressed his delight at the speedy delivery service.

He, along with the delivery officer, credited the improvement to ongoing reforms at the Passport Office and the efficiency of Ghana Post.

He explained that this new level of service was a positive departure from the delays and frustrations many Ghanaians had long associated with passport acquisition.

The Ghana Post delivery officer also recounted how a woman once insulted him, calling him a criminal, because she could not believe her passport could be ready for delivery so quickly.

The woman later called back to apologise after realising the service was indeed genuine.
