He explained how he met with a woman soldier who gave him life-changing career advice.

According to him, he was intrigued and fascinated by her advice, so he began researching opportunities within the US military.
Ghanaian Sir Steve recounts US Army journey
Sir Steve explained that his first stop was an Air Force recruiting centre, but after much thought, he opted out.
He, however, did not give many details on the reason he changed his mind, but many suggested it was because of the tough requirements for enlistment and the duties involved.

He then claimed to have eventually joined the US Army, where he was officially sworn in. While it was clear that he was a case of a foreigner who had successfully joined the US Army, Sir Steve did not give details of how he landed the opportunity.
He also did not give insight into the recruitment process. The only thing he mentioned was that he joined the US military using his green card. This left a whole raft of questions amongst his followers on which path he had followed and whether the same channel was available to other non-Americans who might be interested in joining the US military.
