Ghanaian politician and businessman Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, has visited Dr Edward Omane Boamah's residence to mourn with his family after his demise on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, the leader of the New Force Movement wore an all-black outfit as he arrived at the premises of the late Defence Minister to commiserate with the grieving family.
During his arrival, Nana Kwame Bediako held a bouquet of red roses as he encountered the Minister for Health in Ghana, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, and another individual.

The business mogul later joined others to exchange pleasantries with Dr Edward Omane Boamah's family, including his mother and his grieving wife, Rita, as they gathered on their compound to welcome him.
As he shook hands with the mother of the late cabinet minister, the founder and chairman of the Kwarleyz Group handed over the roses as a gesture to commiserate with her and the grieving family for their tragic loss.
Nana Kwame Bediako also spoke in the presence of Dr Edward Omane Boamah's family to commiserate with them during his visit.

Omane Boamah, others perish in helicopter crash
Dr Edward Omane Boamah died in a tragic hospital crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, along with seven others on board a Z-9 helicopter belonging to the Ghana Armed Forces.
The Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, the Acting Deputy Director-General of Operations at the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Samuel Aboagye, the NDC Vice Chairman, Samuel Sarpong, and the acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Alhaji Muniru Limuna, were other political officials involved in the incident.

Ghana Armed Forces personnel Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Mane-Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah also died in the helicopter crash.
The victims were en route to an anti-Galamsey event when their helicopter crashed in a thick forest in the Adansi Akrofuom District near Obuasi.
Following the tragedy, the government declared a three-day national mourning period and held Wreath-laying ceremonies at the Ceremonial Gardens at the Presidency on Thursday, August 7, and Friday, August 8.
A vigil was also held at the State House forecourt on Saturday, August 9, attended by government officials and families of the deceased.
President Mahama also announced that an interdenominational state funeral would be held for the eight victims of the helicopter crash on August 15, 2025.
Alhaji Muniru Limuna and Minister Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed were buried in the Military Cemetery after Muslim Jannaza prayers at the Forecourt of the State House on Saturday, August 10, 2025.
Boamah's moments before flying in helicopter emerges

In a video, the late Defence Minister walked around the Ghana Military Academy with his entourage and bid farewell to them before boarding the helicopter that crashed and caused his demise.
The footage of Dr Edward Omane Boamah's final moments evoked sadness among Ghanaians on social media.
