A video showing the young daughter of former National Democratic Congress (NDC) politician Samuel Aboagye weeping bitterly over his death has stirred sad reactions on social media.

Samuel Aboagye, a former Obuasi East NDC parliamentary candidate and the Deputy Director General of Protocol at National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), was killed in a helicopter crash on August 6.
Aboagye was on a military helicopter with seven other people when it crashed into the Sikaman Forest in the Adansi Afuokrom District of the Ashanti Region.

Five government officials, including Samuel Aboagye, Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong, and Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, were killed.
The helicopter’s crew, consisting of Flying Officer Manaen Twum-Ampadu, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, also lost their lives.
Samuel Aboagye mourned by daughter
NDC politician Samuel Aboagye left behind his wife, Abigail Salami, and a young daughter.
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, Aboagye’s daughter and his sister, Sarah, could be seen weeping bitterly over his death.
Sarah shared the video on her TikTok handle, showing them both dressed in all black and inconsolable over the tragedy.
She noted in her caption that the late politician’s young daughter was struggling to deal with his demise.
“Aduo, your daughter can’t hold her tears,” she wrote.

Following the politician's death, his wife, who was based in the United States, returned to Ghana to mourn his demise.
At a one-week observation held at his residence in Obuasi, Samuel Aboagye's wife was seen weeping as she struggled to deal with the unimaginable loss she had suffered.

KMA boss shares Samuel Aboagye’s last moments
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Samuel Aboagye’s final moments aboard the Z-9 helicopter before it crashed were shared by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) CEO, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi.
Boadi told Kumasi-based Akoma FM that Aboagye was in constant communication with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi while aboard the chopper.
He noted that Aboagye directed the MCE on locations where they should meet them with cars as they struggled to find a suitable place to land.
