When it mattered most, Micky van de Ven and Mathys Tel faltered from the spot. PSG held their nerve, winning 4-3 and claiming the trophy.

While the loss stung, there were plenty of positives for Tottenham fans. Chief among them was Kudus’ lively display.

The French press singled him out for praise, applauding his energy, strength and relentless work rate.

On top of that, his delivery from wide areas was flawless. Every single one of his four crosses found a teammate, giving him a perfect 100 per cent success rate in that department.

Kudus reflects on Tottenham's loss to PSG

After the match, Kudus spoke with maturity and composure.

"It is disappointing to lose the game in the end. This is a big lesson to stay focused for the whole 90 minutes, but I am really proud of the team for their work ethic and their energy because I think we had them for most part of the game, just for the last part we need to keep full concentration.
"We take this as a lesson. We have a game at the weekend and we have full focus on that," he said, as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.

With the Super Cup heartbreak now behind them, Spurs will quickly switch focus to the Premier League.
