Ghana international defender Kingsley Schindler has wed his longtime partner Ashlee in a grand celebration on the picturesque Athens Riviera.

The 32-year-old exchanged vows in the Greek capital on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, surrounded by close family and friends, marking the culmination of years of courtship.

Schindler and Ashlee, who are said to have a child together, plan to continue their European vacation before the defender shifts his focus to his club career.

According to Transfermarkt, the former FC Köln player is currently a free agent after leaving Turkish Super Lig club Samsunspor, where he made 35 appearances and scored twice last season.

Since switching allegiance to play for the Black Stars of Ghana in 2023, Kingsley Schindler has been one of the most consistent players in the Ghana national football team.

According to Wikipedia, he has made 8 appearances for the Black Stars but without scoring any goals.

Schindler, born in Germany but of Ghanaian descent, was first called up to represent the Ghana national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on March 23, 2023. However, he was an unused substitute in that game as the Black Stars won 1-0 in Kumasi.

The versatile player made his Ghana debut in the reverse away fixture, playing 90 minutes in a pulsating 1-1 draw.
