Mohammed Kudus has found himself at the centre of controversy after leaving Premier League side West Ham United for rival English club Tottenham Hotspur in the summer window.
The Ghanaian forward appeared to throw a subtle jab at his former club during his first interview with Spurs, a move that has not gone down well with some Hammers faithful.

Kudus allegedly throws shade at West Ham
The 25-year-old admitted that he had long admired Tottenham and even pushed for the move when negotiations began, forcing West Ham to eventually settle on a transfer fee.
His remarks, paired with a brace against Burnley on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, only added fuel to the fire.
Kudus spoke about his style of play, highlighting his desire to express himself on the pitch without restrictions.
“So I’m glad that I’m in a team where I can do that freely and also with the help of the teammates,'' he said in a video shared on Spurs' YouTube.
For West Ham supporters, those words carried more sting than celebration, especially given the timing of his exit.
Kudus accused of 'nasty' West Ham comments
Former West Ham midfielder, Martin Allen, who wore the claret and blue between 1989 and 1995, has now waded into the debate.
Speaking to West Ham Zone, the Hammers legend criticised Kudus for a perceived lack of respect in the handling of his departure.
“I don’t think Kudus has helped himself with the comments that he made after joining Spurs. He made some nasty comments about how much he loves Tottenham, and they have made plenty of West Ham fans unhappy. That certainly didn’t show any class, so I can imagine that Karren Brady was gaffed off with his comments about Tottenham.
“As the vice chairman, she has the right to talk about the club, that’s her position, so if she wants to talk about certain players who have left, then she has that right. He hadn’t played well over the past six months, he was quite poor. Getting him out was best because I do agree with Brady.”
During a previous interview, West Ham vice-chairperson Karren Brady had stated that selling Kudus was due to factors including the forward's underwhelming performance.
While Kudus looks determined to carve out a successful career in North London, his words have clearly left a sour taste in East London, as noted by Yard Breaker.
Nonetheless, his recent performances have caught the eye, such as bagging a brace for the Lilywhites against Burnley, according to the Premier League website.

Kudus to face West Ham in September
Meanwhile, Tottenham will face West Ham after the September international break in what promises to be a thrilling fixture at the London Stadium.
For Kudus, it certainly will not be the warmest of reunions at the ground he once graced, with little to no chance of a hero’s reception.
Attention will be firmly on the 25-year-old as he looks to quiet the doubters and deliver a standout performance in Spurs colours against their city rivals.
Kudus’s move leaves West Ham fans seething
West Ham supporters have reacted strongly to Mohammed Kudus’s exit, especially after a lighthearted moment during his Spurs medical.
In a video, he joked, 'You’ll find Spurs in my heart', with that brief quip sparking furious backlash from Hammers fans.
Many felt it was cold and disrespectful, especially given how quickly he sealed the move to the other side of London.
Fans have even created banners branding him 'Kudus the Judas', reflecting a deep sense of betrayal and lingering hurt from East London.
A few have even called on the club to make his return to the London Stadium as uncomfortable as possible, with boos and jeers expected when Spurs visit.
For West Ham, Kudus’s move is not just a transfer story - it has become more of a personal snub that has reignited the rivalry between the two clubs.
